Our board

David brings more than 15 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer with various commercial organisations. He has extensive experience in general and financial management, corporate governance and commercial activities.

David runs his own financial and management consultancy. David has a Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

“Although I had little knowledge of the community services sector when I was invited to join the Board, I soon learned how valuable One Tree's services are to the community. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of extending those services and taking them to a wider audience.”

With over 15 years of experience in management, Zeljko has extensive skills and experience in family and workplace mediation and counselling. Having lived and worked in three countries, he has a deep understanding of cross-cultural issues. Additionally, Zeljko has worked with refugees. Since 2016, he has been the owner and managing director of a small successful company.

“I remain on the One Tree Board because I can make an individual contribution towards our collective responsibility for improving the lives of our children and strengthening the social fabric of our communities.”

Anne-Marie brings 25 years of experience with the City of Perth Child Care Centre where she currently works as the Coordinator. She has been involved in both the Training and Quality Improvement aspects of both long day care and occasional care services in the metropolitan area during this time. 

Anne-Marie has an Associate Diploma of Social Science.

“Being on the Board of One Tree is about making a difference to the services that are not necessarily sustainable through private or government enterprise. I believe it is important that we always have an early childhood perspective on the Board. One Tree is one of the most collegial, proactive and healthy organisations I know.”

Gordon has been a CEO in for profit and not-for-profit organisations for over 25 years. He is a former lecturer in management studies at Edith Cowan, Curtin Graduate School of Management and Notre Dame universities for over 13 years and is an experienced coach and mediator.

“The NFP sector attracts people with a social conscience, who work towards achieving worthwhile goals and do so with enthusiasm and skill.  One Tree and its people exemplify those qualities. In particular I am very enthusiastic about the One Tree innovative approach to childcare and the personal development of the children in their care. I also enjoy the dedication and enthusiasm of my fellow directors and the can-do approach to supporting One Tree’s work. “

Richard has 40 years’ experience working in the major capital assets arena.  He has extensive experience at management level in global organisations.

Richard is co-founder of a global AI business and has served on boards of international companies before. Richard is a highly qualified Electrical Engineer, holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering Technology (London)

“I will bring global business experience to One Tree and look forward to being part of the dynamic team at One Tree. My goal is to provide my experience and training to guide the direction of One Tree”

Louise has spent 35 years in senior positions within the not-for-profit community services sector, and with State and Federal Government working in Perth, Bunbury, and Canberra. Prior to that Louise worked as a dental therapist in schools providing free dental treatment for children aged 2 to 17 years.

In the early ‘90s, Louise worked as counsellor, clinical supervisor, and coordinator in Australia’s first co-located domestic violence, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse service. As a founding member and convenor of the peak body Domestic Violence Action Groups of WA she successfully lobbied Government on social justice reforms, legislative and policy change, and funding for counselling and support services.

Louise is currently a long-term member of the WACOSS Children’s Policy Advisory Council, and a member of the National Strategy Advisory Group for preventing and responding to child sexual abuse, and the Reference Group for the WA Sexual Violence Strategy.
