what is CCB?

CCB (Child Care Benefit) is a payment from the Australian Government that helps you pay for your child care. The CCB is a means tested benefit and if approved by Centre Link the parent will only have to pay the gap between the CCB and the centre fee.

The Child Care Rebate (CCR) is not means tested but parents must apply for CCB in order to receive the Child Care Rebate. Eligible parents may be entitled to a rebate of 50% of the payments made after the CCB is deducted, up to a limit of $7500.00 per financial year for each child. The Child Care Rebate (CCR) can be payed directly to the centre to reduce the required payment for parents.
