One Tree Wadeye Safe House receives Highly Commended at 2015 NT Human Rights Awards

The 2015 NT Human Rights Awards "The Fitzgeralds"

The 2015 NT Human Rights Awards "The Fitzgeralds" was held in Darwin at the Supreme Court on December 10th - Human Rights Day. 
 
One Tree Wadeye Safe House was nominated in the category of "The Fitzgerald Social Change Award".
This award is for taking action to achieve or ensure the promotion of social change in the area of human rights in the Northern Territory. 
 
Safe House Manager Lee Kirschner and Community Services Regional Manager Keryn Lewis attended the Awards evening accepting one of only two Highly Commended certificates from the twenty one nominations in this category.
 
Congratulations to the Wadeye Safe House staff who continue to support and empower woman and children in their community through social change.
