Laverton Crisis Intervention Service

One Tree provides community engagement and outreach services that focus on early intervention, prevention and follow-up for victims of family and domestic violence.

One Tree works with Department of Child Protection and Family Support, MEEDAC, the Kiddies Corner playgroup, the Shire of Laverton and a range of service providers and community members to support families in this region.

The service is opened in April 2015 as an on-call safe house for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence or crisis, and promotes the safety and wellbeing of women and children in the Laverton community and surrounding area.

About Laverton

Laverton is in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, located on the western edge of the Great Victoria Desert 950km north-northeast of Perth. Around 20% of the population identify as Aboriginal.

The town of Laverton services surrounding Aboriginal communities including Mount Margaret, Mulga Queen, Cosmo Newberry, Wongatha Wonganarra and Warburton.
