about our registered training organisation (RTO)
RTO No. 52228
One Tree RTO is dedicated to providing quality training and assessments.
The need to provide training and employment opportunities for communities brought about One Tree’s decision to become an RTO. One Tree offers nationally accredited training with a focus on upskilling disadvantaged people.
One Tree RTO also enables the organisation to provide training and assessment opportunities to all staff, improving the quality of services to the communities served.
One Tree RTO is dedicated to providing quality training and assessment for those who wish to gain a formal qualification to enter the workforce. One Tree offers a nationally recognised qualification which demonstrates a high level of skill and knowledge and enables successful participants to work with children within the education and care services industry.
Fully qualified trainers and assessors provide ongoing support and valuable industry knowledge, and learning materials cover the latest legislation and up to date information.
Courses are registered with Centrelink and Ezi Debit is available for payments.
Certificate III is aimed at those wishing to commence a career in the early childhood profession or who are currently employed as untrained workers who wish to gain qualifications or be recognised for their knowledge and experience.
The Diploma is the next step for graduates of the Certificate III qualification. Persons at this level often have responsibility for planning, implementing and managing programs in children’s services. This may include the supervision of other staff.
One Tree ensures that training and assessment occurs in accordance with the requirements of the relevant state and federal training guidelines. All courses are nationally accredited. Delivery methods are intergraded to enhance learning in order to achieve the best possible outcome for students.
One Tree’s training approach is primarily ‘on-the-job’. A qualified trainer visits the workplace to provide training and assessment. The trainer will work through each unit of competency reflecting the skills and requirements of the educator’s role while developing underpinning knowledge to improve efficiency in the workplace.
In some instances traineeships can attract monetary incentive payments payable from the Australian Government to support employers with the cost of training.

All qualifications and individual units are available to commence study at any time via distance education. Learner Guides and the relevant assessments will be emailed or posted. Support will be provided by telephone, email and where possible face-to-face.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL is the acknowledgment of the full range of an individual’s skills and knowledge. It includes competencies gained through formal study, work experience and ‘life experience’.
One Tree aims to ensure that individuals’ prior learning is recognised, irrespective of where or how the learning has taken place.

Customised training and professional development
Educating your staff and providing professional development opportunities is one of the best investments you can make for your service. All traning courses are delivered by qualified and experienced One Tree staff.
One Tree has mechanisms in place to reduce fraudulent reproduction of certificates issued by our RTO. These include:
- 'copy protected' text that makes otherwise hidden text visible when the document is copied or scanned
- a unique document number, linking the certificate to the student and course they have completed
- certificates are printed on special paper, embossed with the One Tree logo in the bottom right-hand corner.

Complaints and Appeals
One Tree RTO has policies and procedures in place that enable participants to access a fair and equitable process for appeals and grievances on any issues concerning training and assessment. If at any stage you feel you have a genuine cause to complain, feel that you have not been treated fairly, or disagree with an assessment decision then we encourage you to discuss the matter of concern with your trainer, assessor or the RTO Manager to see if they can resolve the problem. If they are unable to resolve the problem you may lodge a formal complaint with One Tree's CEO. This can be done here. If you wish to appeal an assessment decision, complete an Assessment Appeals Form (see below to download a copy).
