The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a nationally recognised qualification based on competency standards from the Community Services Training Package.
This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services.
In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
At this level:
- Workers may have the responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers
- In most states it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level for children's service centre-based care
On completion of this course, you will be a Qualified Child Care Professional!
You will then be able to gain work in Child Care centres and Out of School Hours Care centres as a qualified Educator.
