From working mum to inspiring new parents
With One Tree, there’s always room to move. Miranda is an educator who has moved with us.
She joined One Tree as a casual cleaner while she raised her children. However, the One Tree Bulgarra team soon found out she was a talented diploma qualified educator. That marked the end of Miranda’s cleaning career and the start of a long journey at One Tree.
While her children were growing, she worked as a casual educator across a range of services enjoying the flexibility as a working mum. Then she was handpicked to become room leader and then service director in Roebourne.
After a few years as a director, the management team asked her to become the coordinator of the Gurlu Gurlu Maya Child and Parent Centre. She loves supporting local families and the community in this role.
Why you’ll love being a One Tree educator
Our educators, room leaders and early childhood teachers are skilled, talented, and passionate professionals. We reward them with on-the-job mentoring, six weeks leave, training, flexibility and regular support.
Plus, you’ll be part of a talented team that believe in delivering high quality care and are inspired by child-led learning. There are options to work throughout Australia, from urban Victoria to the remote outback of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. With many of our services in complex communities, One Tree is the place to make a real difference.
