Employment Type: Permanent Part Time 23hrs per week. Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher with 2 or more years experience? We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our 3 – 4 year old kindergarten groups to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.

One Tree Balim Balim Kindergarten is in the Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre which is an integrated family and neighbourhood centre. One Tree Balim Balim provides a high-quality kindergarten program for local children and families. The service is inspired by child-led approach and local culture.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in sessional kindergarten
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood);
  • Victoria Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered;
  • A strong knowledge of Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and Early Yearly Learning Framework;
  • An unwavering passion for children, their learning and care

What you’ll do:

  • You will have the ability to design and implement a vibrant curriculum where each child’s current knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests are the foundation of a play-based program;
  • You will be able to place the needs of children and their community at the centre of practice, while aligning with approved early learning and development frameworks and the National Quality Standards, as well as One Tree’s policies and procedures;
  • You have the capacity to build a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
  • Work well within a team and have the ability to support children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • You will have the ability to support children with additional needs
