One Tree Defence Unit Little Geckos. Located at the RAAF Base Tindal, just 15 km outside of Katherine and caters to Defence families. Katherine is the fourth largest settlement in the Northern Territory and is known as the place where “The outback meets the tropics”. Situated on the Katherine River 320km southwest of Darwin.

The team have created three separate learning environments for different age groups. Children feel like they belong here, and so will you. On the weekends the adventure and experiences of the surrounding region will have you longing for the great outdoors. What you’ll bring:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early childhood
  • Current working with Children card
  • Your own vehicle (or ability to obtain one)
  • You will have a bright personality and good energy

What you’ll do:

  • You will be able to recognise and develop the strengths in children and your team
  • You will be able to build positive relationships with peers, families, and children
  • You will have a strong understanding of the Children’s Services Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • You will have passion and enthusiasm and will want to have fun
