We are looking for a dedicated mentor for our Kununurra service to deliver mentoring and support to our trainees in the early years setting.

What you’ll do

  • Provide support services for the trainees at One Tree childcare services through the Pathways Projects.
  • Support attracting and recruiting trainees within the region, reducing barriers to enter the workforce and sector.
  • Provide holistic support to the trainees in the workplace, that improve training outcomes.
  • Increase completion rates of trainee qualifications in the local workforce.
  • Assist to meet the outcomes and deliverables as set out in the Pathways Project Plan.
  • Assist to provide a culturally safe workplace.

What you’ll bring

  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work within a budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and reflect.
  • Approachable, sensitive and a can do attitude.
  • Well-developed time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and developing efficiencies in service delivery.
  • Understanding of and commitment to One Tree’s mission, values, and code of ethics.
  • Passion for working alongside community to support better outcomes for children and families.

Relevant qualifications and experience

  • A valid WA Working with Children Check
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Display high level of cultural intelligence
  • Experience working in a similar role with a passion for mentoring
  • Strong local knowledge and understanding of the local workforce need
