Apollo Bay Kindergarten

Situated between the Great Ocean Road and the Great Otway National Park, Apollo Bay Kindergarten is deeply connected to the local community and works in strong partnership with parents.

Apollo Bay Preschool has taught generations of Apollo Bay children and is a much-loved service within this bustling, beachside community. Beginning a new chapter in 2022, Apollo Bay Preschool under the One Tree management will move to the Early Years Hub at the Apollo Bay P-12 College as the Apollo Bay Kindergarten.

The brand-new building offers a secure playground for imaginative, outdoor play that’s next to the expansive school oval. Designed to support families, there is a Maternal and Child Health service on-site that’s operated by the Colac Otway Shire.

Our Service

We are a 66-place kindergarten offering 15 hours of

  • Sessional 3-year-old kindergarten; and
  • Sessional 4-year-old kindergarten.

Our 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten terms align with Victorian school terms.

Our Approach

One Tree’s educational program aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.  We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophical belief, that educators are co-learners who collaborate with children.

We’re displaying the Kinder Tick to show we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded and approved kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.

The Kinder Tick shows we meet the criteria in the funding guidelines set out by the Victorian Government — which means you can have confidence your child’s learning and development will be supported by qualified early childhood teachers and educators through responsive, evidence-based learning program.
