Nar Nar Goon Kindergarten

Welcome to Nar Nar Goon Kindergarten, where we create an exciting and safe space for young learners to discover and flourish. Our play-based programs cater specifically to 3 and 4-year-olds, providing a diverse range of activities using materials like clay, paint, mud, water, sand, blocks, and various loose parts. These resources encourage children to explore, create, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.

Nar Nar Goon, we strongly value the outdoors and its role in early learning. We focus on outdoor play and hands-on experiences, allowing children to enjoy the changing seasons and engage in garden activities. We use natural and recycled materials as much as possible with our young learners through activities like water wise activities, worm farming, and vegetable gardening. Our goal is to create a holistic learning environment where children not only thrive but also develop a strong connection with the world around them.

Our Service

We are a 32-place sessional kindergarten offering:

• Sessional 3-year-old kindergarten; and
• Sessional 4-year-old kindergarten.

Our kindergarten terms align with Victorian school terms.

Our Approach

One Tree’s educational program aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and the National Framework.  We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophical belief, that educators are co-learners who collaborate with children.

We’re displaying the Kinder Tick to show we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded and approved kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.

The Kinder Tick shows we meet the criteria in the funding guidelines set out by the Victorian Government — which means you can have confidence your child’s learning and development will be supported by qualified early childhood teachers and educators through a responsive, evidence-based learning program.

All children who turn three or four by the 30^th of April 2024 and meet the Victorian Government criteria are entitled to 15 hours per week of free kindergarten.
