Paraburdoo Children’s Service

Our Rio Tinto sponsored service conveys the atmosphere of a home away from home.

We have a large indoor space that is utilised as an indoor gym in the hot summer months when the temperatures can reach over 45 degrees.

Paraburdoo, where we are located, comes from the Indigenous word for ‘white cockatoo’ due to the large resident population of white corellas. We are in partnership with Rio Tinto to provide a childcare service primarily for their employees and also the other families in the Paraburdoo community. The area is renowned for its beautiful scenery, diverse wildlife and amazing panoramic views from Mount Nameless (Jarndunmunha).

Our approach

We value the child as strong, capable and resilient learners who approach life with wonder and awe. Every child brings with them curiosity and potential. This is what drives our educators to support the child’s need to understand their world and their environment through sustainable practice and a holistic approach to learning.

Our services

We are a 80-place service.

  • Our babies room caters for infants from 0 to 24 months.
  • Our toddler room caters for children from 24 months to 3 years.
  • Our kindy room caters for children from 3 years to 6 years.
  • Our Out of School Care (OSC) caters for children 6 years to 12 years.
