South Hedland

One Tree South Hedland Children’s Service provides a natural learning environment that empowers children to explore and enquire without limits.

We are in South Hedland, a remote rural community in the Pilbara region. It is a supportive and caring community with a rich cultural heritage, one that is based on family input and engagement.

Our Approach

Our tailored programs are governed by the National Quality Framework, which underpins everything we do at the centre. We believe in child-focused environments that reflect children’s needs and interests. We empower the children to engage in recycling and reusing materials. Our service is about our community and we ensure that this is reflected through our curriculum.

We have designated play spaces that include a sensory room, dedicated art studio along with a loose parts space, for children to actively use their imagination. The small numbers in each room offer a family feel and add to a sense of belonging.

We strive to work together to build and maintain trusting, respectful relationships with all families. Our open-door policy means you are welcome to visit us at any time.

Our services

We are a 52-place service.

  • Our babies room caters for infants from 0 to 2 years.
  • Our toddlers room caters for children from 2 years to 3 years.
  • Our kindy room caters for children from 3 years to 5 years.
