Timbertop Early Learning Centre

Timbertop Early Learning Centre (ELC) is located in a brand-new, state of the art facility.

Timbertop ELC provides a place-based care environment where families, community and culture are central to practice. This integrated service is dedicated to improving long-term outcomes for children and providing them with a strong sense of belonging and identity.

Our Service

We are a 142-place integrated early childhood service offering:

  • Nursery room for infants 0 to 2 years;
  • Toddler room for children 2 to 3 years;
  • Pre-Kinder room for children 3 to 5 years;
  • 3-year old kindergarten; and
  • Sessional 4-year old kindergarten.

Our 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten terms align with Victorian school terms.

At Timbertop ELC children have the opportunity to grow and develop through play. This is the way children learn best. They are given opportunities to curiously explore the world around them, build their knowledge and develop their ability to form important social connections.

Our Approach

One Tree’s Cycle of Enquiry is based on the Reggio Emilia philosophical belief that educators are co-learners who collaborate with children.

We strive to be a sustainable service and encourage children to be environmentally aware. We aim to build a deep sense of connectedness between children and the environment, focusing on the interdependence between land, people, plants and animals with an awareness of the impact of human activity on environments.

We’re displaying the Kinder Tick to show we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded and approved kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.

The Kinder Tick shows we meet criteria in the funding guidelines set out by the Victorian Government — which means you can have confidence your child’s learning and development will be supported by qualified early childhood teachers and educators through a responsive, evidence-based learning program.
