Life in the corporate team

It takes all kinds of people to keep One Tree moving. From HR professionals to finance, marketing, management, operations, IT and accounts. We might do different roles but we’re united by our purpose – and it shows. Together we turn challenges into possibilities with communities, families and our people on the ground.

Words like ‘why not’ and ‘what if’ are common here along with six weeks leave, cake-filled celebrations, company-wide recognition, extra leave days after three years and career growth.

From educating in the outback to growing kindergartens in Melbourne

One Tree has taken Brad from big cities to some of Australia’s most remote communities – and back again. He spent years criss-crossing the country to support our childcare services, often flying in terrifyingly tiny planes to reach a remote location. He’s no longer holding on for dear life during his commute. Instead, he’s a pillar of support for the One Tree kindergartens in Victoria. Brad’s story started as an Educational Leader in Kununurra. After only two days, he was asked to be director. This set the stage for years of progression, new roles and working in new spaces – which are all things Brad’s very good at. He’s been a regional manager, compliance officer, area manager and is now acting as the general manager of kindergartens. Brad’s most important role is his role as a dad. And, One Tree has supported him in that too. Instead of letting a small thing like state borders derail Brad’s career trajectory and family commitments, he worked flexibly from Melbourne until One Tree established a Victorian office.

One Tree is a true not-for-profit organisation

"I can honestly say One Tree is a true not-for-profit organisation. It’s not about making money; it’s about making sure we provide back to the communities we work with. I don’t think there are many organisations who can actually say that."
