Position: Cook
Status: Permanent Part-time – 6 hours/day (Monday- Friday 8am – 2pm)
Salary range: $30.68 per hour (inclusive of all allowances/loadings), plus super

As our Cook, you will play an important role in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and wellbeing of the children in our care. You’ll plan and prepare seasonal menus, maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen, and cater to a variety of dietary needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating wholesome food, is organised, and values contributing to a warm and supportive learning environment.

• 1 cup of healthy fun menus for children

You will be the heart of the center, where good food prepared by someone who truly cares makes all the difference. In this role, you will

• Create menus based on the ‘Staying Healthy’ guidelines, provide adequate and nutritious meals for children, and ensure that everything is done within budget
• Working with a range of different cultures and dietary needs is essential, making this position vital to the service as it ensures essential nutrition for the children

The successful candidate will also be required to act as Workplace Health & Safety Officer.

Requirements

• Be eligible to work in Australia and live in Kununurra
• Current WA Working with Children Check
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance
• I’M ALERT Food Safety Certificate
