Position: Additional Assistant (KIS Funded)
Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday 5hrs 10am-3pm
Status: Part Time – fixed term. Until 15.12.2025.  *May cease employment prior to this date with one week notice if Uniting appoint someone to the role if child/ren with funding leave the service/funding stops.
Hourly rate: $28.12, Level 1.1 (VOTTEA Award)

Additional Information: This position is funded by the Kindergarten Inclusion Support (KIS) program and is subject to the terms of the funding, including the possibility of the end date being determined by Uniting Funding or based on the funded child’s enrolment.
 
Role Overview: As an Additional Assistant Educator at Lollypop Creek Kindergarten, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs and ensuring their active participation in our Kindergarten program. Working collaboratively within our team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with additional needs to fully engage in the kindergarten program.
• Assist in the implementation of educational activities and experiences that promote children’s learning and development.
• Collaborate effectively with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all children in our care.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care
• Minimum 1 year experience as an educator in an early childhood setting
• Current Working with Children Check
• National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
• Sessional Kindergarten Experience desirable
