Position: Crisis Support Worker (and Admin Support)
Status: 
Permanent Part-time – 20 hours per week

Laverton CIS opened in April 2015 as an on-call safe house for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence or crisis and promotes the safety and wellbeing of women and children in the Laverton community and surrounding area.

What you’ll do

  • Help the Safe House to meet the needs of the local community
  • Help to improve outcomes for women and children through programs and services
  • Be a point of contact for local women and children who are receiving services from the Safe House and help them to get strong and safe
  • Promote safety for women and girls in the community
  • Help women and children feel safe when using the services at the Safe House
  • Work as a team to keep the Safe House clean and welcoming for community
  • Support more junior local staff in their roles
  • Administrative support and records management

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Australia and live in Laverton
  • Current WA Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • Relevant certificates/qualifications (desirable)
