One Tree Boronia Children’s Service

Long day care service, Yuggera (Jagera) and Turrbal Country

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Yuggera (Jagera) and Turrbal people as the Traditional Owners of the land. In the spirit of reconciliation, we recognise their continuing cultural connections to their land, waters, and communities. We pay our respects to their Elders both past and present.

Welcome to One Tree Boronia Children’s Service

Our service is based on the grounds of Griffith University’s Nathan Campus, in the heart of Toohey Forest (close to our Tallowwood service). The natural bushland allows children to learn, play and grow in a unique environment.

Our approach

At One Tree Boronia, we believe in nurturing children as capable, confident, and active participants in their own learning. Relationships are at the heart of practice. We value respectful partnerships with children, families, educators, and the wider community. Fostering a strong sense of belonging, wellbeing, and inclusion.

Our play-based curriculum combines inquiry, sustainability, strong relationships and outdoor learning. This approach helps to nurture confident, capable and environmentally responsible learners. Children are supported by their connections with nature, educators, and family partnerships. Our educational philosophy is inspired by leading early childhood research and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
