What you’ll do

• Work under the supervision of the Room Leader to provide high quality educational experiences and care for children
• Communicate effectively with children and families
• Adhere to the service’s policies and procedures and work in accordance with all relevant regulations and the National Quality Framework
• Assist in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
• Reflect upon and improve your practice, ensuring you are gaining knowledge and skills that will assist in providing quality services to children and families
• Work as a part of a team, supporting and contributing to One Tree Community Services (OTCS) as a community in line with OTCS Philosophy, Code of Ethics and Strategic Intent

Selection criteria

• Advocate for children and their rights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement educational programs
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, MTOP, and relevant regulations
• Passion for early childhood and/or school age education and a commitment to providing high-quality care

Requirements

• Eligible to work in Australia
• Hold a Cert 3 or Diploma in ECEC
• Current WA Working with Children Check
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance
• Foundations of Child Safety Training Certificate
