About the service

Join One Tree Millars Well Children’s Service and you’ll join a supportive and creative service that’s inspired by child-led approaches. Located next to the community garden, health clinic and primary school this service is well connected to the community. As a result, you’ll feel connected to the community too. We are a 105-place service catering for children up to year six and are open from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Position requirements:

You will be mentored by a room leader and supported to work with children. The work you do will mean a lot and make a big difference. Your ‘can-do’ attitude and commitment to work within One Tree Community Service’s spirit, purpose and values will be your key to success.

• Work under the supervision of the Room Leader to provide educational experiences and care for children
• Communicate effectively with children and families
• Adhere to the services policies and procedures and work in accordance with all relevant regulations and the National Quality Framework
• Assist in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
• Reflect upon and improve your practice ensuring you are gaining knowledge and skills that will assist in providing quality services to children and families
• Work as a part of a team, supporting and contributing to One Tree as a community in line with One Tree’s Philosophy, Code of Ethics and Strategic Intent

Requirements

• Eligible to work in Australia
• Certificate 3/ Diploma in Early Childhood and/or ACECQA approved equivalent approved
• Current WA Working with Children Check
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance
