Are you passionate about early childhood education and making a positive impact in children’s lives? Lollypop Creek Kindergarten is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Additional Assistant Educator to join our 3 year old Kindergarten group on a fixed-term basis.

One Tree Lollypop Creek Kindergarten is a newly built kindergarten in the Lollypop Creek Community Centre on Wadawurrung Country. We are here to support children and families in their kindergarten years.

Our aim is to provide a positive learning experience before children transition to school. Our service offers three large kindergarten rooms with lots of natural light. We also have a beautiful, purpose-built yard. This outdoor area is filled with lots of natural elements and structures. It has been designed to support children’s learning and development as they connect with nature.

Role Overview: As an Additional Assistant Educator at Lollypop Creek Kindergarten, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs and ensuring their active participation in our Kindergarten program. Working collaboratively within our team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with additional needs to fully engage in the kindergarten program.
  • Assist in the implementation of educational activities and experiences that promote children’s learning and development.
  • Collaborate effectively with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all children in our care.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care
  • Minimum 1 year experience as an educator in an early childhood setting
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
  • Sessional Kindergarten Experience desirable
  • Mandatory reporting and Child Safe training certificates
