We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Regional Support Manager to join our Darwin office. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to support and empower a team of Service Directors and Educational Leaders to deliver outstanding outcomes for children, families, and communities.

You will be required to travel across Darwin, Katherine & Perth. 3 weeks out of the 4 weeks. You will also be required to occasionally visit our Sunshine West head office in Victoria.

About the role
As a Regional Support Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and support service leaders to deliver high-quality, compliant, and exceeding-rated services aligned with the National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Oversee the induction and development of new Directors, Educational Leaders, and Peer Supports to ensure effective succession planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement through mentoring, training, and reflective practice.
  • Monitor compliance, quality, and workforce planning across multiple services.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve positive results.
  • Occasionally act as the Service Manager in the absence of a director or Nominated Supervisor.

What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education).
  • Proven leadership experience in managing or supporting multiple early learning services.
  • Minimum two years’ experience leading or supervising teams.
  • Strong understanding of legislation, NQS, and early years compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to travel to regional and remote locations as required (including short stays).
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • (Desirable) A qualification in workplace training and assessment.
  • National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
  • First Aid qualifications
  • Mandatory child protection training
  • WWCC for NT & WA and willing to obtain for NSW, QLD, VIC & ACT

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain service approvals and ensure compliance with all regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Lead service reviews, audits, and improvement planning.
  • Mentor and coach Directors and leadership teams to achieve exceeding practices.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development of service leaders.
  • Ensure contractual and reporting obligations are met to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and communication.
  • Support health, safety, and child protection practices across all services.
  • Travel within remote communities for up to one week at a time on a regular basis
