Laverton CIS opened in April 2015 as an on-call safe house for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence or crisis and promotes the safety and wellbeing of women and children in the Laverton community and surrounding area.

What you’ll do
- Support women and children escaping from domestic and family violence
- Work flexible hours including on call, overnight and weekends
- Ensure that the women and children are safe and report any concerns to the manager and/or police
- Understanding of domestic violence and support victim/survivors
- Local knowledge of the community and people in which the safe house is located
- Assist the Organisation and managers to understand culture and ways of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Requirements
- Be eligible to work in Australia
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
