One Tree Community Services is an Early Years Management (EYM) organisation in Victoria. We operate 27 kindergartens across eight Councils and Shires. See our locations here.

Our philosophy

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we take a collaborative approach to learning. Our qualified Early Childhood Teachers focus on play-based learning and view the environment as the “third teacher”. We create spaces that encourage exploration, curiosity and discovery.

Victorian Government approved

We offer free Victorian Government funded sessional kindergarten for three and four-year-olds. Our programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) to support each child’s learning and development.

Kindergarten hours

In 2025, eligible children can access up to 15 hours of kindergarten per week. This will increase to 16 hours (or more in some areas) from 2026. If your child is born between 1 January and 30 April, you can choose to start kindergarten the year they turn three or the following year. For families using our long day care services, the funding is applied as a fee offset.

These changes are part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reforms. Find out more here.

One Tree Community Services acknowledges the Traditional Owners and custodians of country where we operate. In the spirit of reconciliation, we recognise their continuing cultural connections to their land, waters and communities. We pay our respect to their Elders both past and present and to all First Australians of today.
