With over 45 years’ experience in early education and care and a history of working with Aboriginal people and organisations, training and community services we can provide support to other organisations. We have been successful in delivery services in rural and remote as well as metropolitan areas. We are a registered training organisation.

Early education and care
In July 2009 the Australian Government set up the first ever overarching national strategy for early childhood development, titled Investing in the Early Years: A National Early Childhood Development Strategy. With this strategy came the National Quality Standards (NQS) that One Tree has implemented nationally and supported other organisations to do the same.
One Tree can evaluate your service and provide recommendations to assist in meeting or exceeding the NQS. We are also able to offer ongoing support and tools specifically designed to support with meeting the NQS.
We approached One Tree because we were preparing for the changes to early years learning brought about by the requirement to comply with the National Quality Standards Framework. We believed our understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and its application could only be achieved by entering in a partnership with One Tree.
One Tree helped us by developing a suite of training materials tailored to fit our particular early years environment. Their expertise in dealing with many issues in different settings enabled our staff to feel that the process was much more than just a professional learning exercise as it was collaborative and spaced according to the best principles of adult learning.
We would recommend One Tree to organisations who need a highly professional and experienced training unit help engage with and understand the NQS and Quality Assurance policy requirements. Their resourcefulness and capability have prepared our staff at all levels for full implementation of the National Quality Standards Framework.

Supporting Aboriginal run organisations
One Tree has a long-standing presence in communities where Aboriginal culture is a key part. These include towns like Laverton in the Goldfields and Roebourne in the Pilbara of Western Australia, Wadeye a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory and in Wyndham a metropolitan community in Victoria.
One Tree is committed to supporting Aboriginal organisations to deliver services to Aboriginal people and want to work alongside Aboriginal corporations to assist them in achieving this outcome. Our consultants have extensive experience in this area.
Case study
One Tree is working on a project with the Wyndham Aboriginal Community and the Wyndham City Council to establish and operate the Wyndham Aboriginal Community Centre (WACC). The WACC will provide integrated early childhood education and care, child health and development programs and playgroups for the local Aboriginal community. One Tree is supporting the WACC during the set-up phase, will operate the centre and then support the Aboriginal community to take on governance and management.
