At One Tree, we offer traineeships in Early Childhood Education and Care and Community Services.
We provide the following courses through our Registered Training Organisation:
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services
- CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
If you want to work with children in early education and care, this qualification is suitable for you. It gives you the opportunity to learn on the job in an Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) service.
The minimum requirement to work in a regulated ECEC service is to hold or be working towards a Certificate III qualification. It is a nationally recognised qualification that will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience required to work as an early childhood educator.
While the course has no prerequisites, you must obtain a Working with Children’s Check prior to your work placement.
You must complete a total of 17 units to be awarded a qualification. On completion, you may wish to further your learning and undertake a Diploma of ECEC.
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Advance you career and further build your skillset with a Diploma of ECEC.
Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing the curriculum and supervising other educators. It is the minimum requirement to become a director or manage an ECEC service in Australia.
Throughout this course, you will learn how to plan, evaluate and implement a curriculum, establish safe and healthy care environments, and supervise other staff.
Certificate II in Community Services
If you currently work or want to work in community services, this qualification is suitable for you. It is an opportunity to learn on the job and build your skillset in any community service area, including domestic violence support and child and parent centres.
At this level, you will be a first point of contact and assist clients in meeting their immediate needs. Your work will take place under direct, regular supervision within clearly defined guidelines.
This course has no prerequisites. You must complete a total of nine units to be awarded this qualification
Certificate III in Community Services
This qualification is suitable for entry level community service workers in person-centred services.
Work may include day-to-day support for individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs. Work may take place in a range of community services organisations
This course has no prerequisites. You must complete a total of 12 units to be awarded this qualification.
Where can you do these qualifications?
In Western Australia, we offer these courses in metropolitan Perth, as well as the Pilbara, Kimberley and Gascoyne regions. In the Northern Territory, we offer these courses in metropolitan areas and remote communities, including Wadeye, Kalkarindji and Yarralin.
We also offer school-based traineeships for high school students looking to enter the ECEC sector.
