National Homeless Awards

One Tree won the 2012 National Homeless Awards - Closing the Gap for Excellence in Addressing Indigenous Homelessness for the Wadeye Safe House.  The award was presented by The Hon. Brendan O'Connor MP Minister for Housing and Homelessness.

This was a remarkable first achievement for One Tree to have won an award after deciding to provide community services only 18 months prior.

Childcare Training Simulation Project

One Tree has been granted $302,000, from the Department of Communities' Social Innovation Grants Program, to develop this exciting project. The Childcare Training Simulation Project is aimed at ensuring childcare educators have access to a range of training opportunities that will build their childcare experience, education and skills. This online application will be accessible 24/7 and is free.

Simulation Game nominated as a finalist in the WAITTA Incite Awards 

The  purpose of WA Information Technology and Telecommunications Alliance (WAITTA) is to recognize outstanding performance and contributions by the ICT community of Western Australia. One Tree's Childcare Training Simulation Game has been made a finalist in the Education cateogry for the Service Award. This award showcases the most successful and innovative application to the delivery of education and training. Winners are announced in June.
