Bena Angliss Kindergarten

Kindergarten
Knox City Council, Wurundjeri and Bunurong Country

Welcome to Bena Angliss Kindergarten, where children thrive through play-based learning and nature exploration. Our outdoor environment is natural, sustainable and fun, while our spacious indoor areas offer plenty of opportunities for learning, experimenting and creating. It even includes our two pet turtles!

We offer funded kindergarten programs for both 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds, supporting local families with quality early childhood education. At Bena Angliss, we value family input and cherish our strong connections with the local community. We enjoy working collaboratively to provide diverse and meaningful learning experiences for our children.

Our educators

Our dedicated teaching team is made up of experienced educators who support each child’s holistic development. We believe that natural environments and opportunities for risky play help children build resilience, develop life skills and foster teamwork.

We are committed to sustainability and deeply respect the natural environment. These values are woven into our daily teaching practices, helping children learn how to care for the world around them.

Our philosophy

We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which views educators as co-learners who collaborate with children in the learning process.

Our aim is to foster a deep sense of connectedness between children and the natural world, emphasising the interdependence of land, people, plants, and animals. We help children understand the impact of human activity on the environment and empower them to become thoughtful, responsible stewards of the earth.

Our service

We are a one room kindergarten with 30 places for 3-year-olds, and 30 places for 4-year-old children.

Our educational program

We offer free Victorian Government funded sessional kindergarten for three and four-year-olds. Our programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) to support each child’s learning and development.

One Tree’s educational program aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy that educators are co-learners who collaborate with children.
