Long day care service, Miriwoong Country
Welcome to Wunan Garndim-banjelng Badang Yarrawoo Menewoolbtha Children’s Service
One Tree Wunan Garndim-banjelng Badang Yarrawoo Menewoolbtha Children’s Service is nestled in the heart of Kununurra. Located under the Mirima National Park.
Our service has been established through a proud partnership between the Wunan Foundation and One Tree Community Services. We are funded by the Community Child Care Funded Restricted (CCCFR) Expansion program, under the Closing the Gap reform.
Our approach
We provide a unique early learning program that takes a culturally informed approach. Our play-based learning program is flexible, inclusive and responsive. The Mirima Dawang Woorlab-Gerring Language and Culture Centre named the service and also provide a cultural program, working alongside our educators.
Priority access
Our service is funded to prioritise early years education for Aboriginal children. The priority of access for enrolments and waitlists is as follows:
- Priority One – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
- Priority Two – A child at risk
- Priority Three – Working parent/families
- Priority Four – Any other child
For more information, please contact us. Families are supported by our Childcare Liaison Officer, who assists with enrolments and applying for childcare subsidies. We work in close partnership with the Wunan Early Years team, supporting families to access a wide range of programs.
