Located on the grounds of Riverwalk Primary School, we offer three and four-year-old sessional kindergarten programs as well as an integrated three and four-year-old kindergarten program. We celebrate the cultural and linguistic diversity of our families, promoting collaborative engagement with local communities.

Our approach

We operate under a partnership governance and operational model that supports integration of services. Our kindergarten aims to deliver an inclusive, safe and vibrant learning space where children thrive and grow to meet their potential. We embrace the Reggio Emilia philosophy and programming for the environment as “the third teacher”.

Our team are sensitive and responsive to each child’s strengths. We create holistic and joyful experiences to optimise learning and development. Our educators are here to help children become compassionate human beings who contribute to a sustainable future.

We are a 66-place service, open Monday to Friday offering:

• Three and four year old sessional kindergarten programs
• An integrated kindergarten program for three and four-year-olds

Our educational program

We offer free Victorian Government funded sessional kindergarten for three and four-year-olds. Our programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) to support each child’s learning and development.

One Tree’s educational program aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy that educators are co-learners who collaborate with children.

All children who turn three or four by the April 30 2025 and meet the Victorian Government criteria are entitled to 15 hours per week of free kindergarten.

All Aboriginal children are entitled to two years of free kindergarten.
