Lotterywest makes digital transformation project possible

We are delighted to announce Lotterywest has awarded a grant to One Tree Community Services to help fund our digital transformation project.

The grant of up to $1,161,210 will be put towards upgrading our Information Technology infrastructure to better support our staff, families and services.

Bridging the distance

Our workplace community is spread across vast regions of Western Australia (WA) -from metropolitan Perth to the East Kimberley, and many places in between.

With so much distance between us, our digital working environment needs to ensure our teams can work together effectively from any location.

As we evolve as an organisation, our technological systems also need to continue to adapt alongside us.

Upgrading our systems

Our aim is to upgrade to cloud-based systems across the following areas:

Phase one

  • Financial management system
  • Childcare management system

Phase two

  • Learning management system
  • Payroll and human resources management systems

Phase one is currently underway, with the migration of both systems anticipated to reach completion at the end of the year.

The second phase is under commencement and expected to be operational in 2026.

Driving improvements

Modern systems will improve our efficiency by streamlining processes and reducing manual handling.

The upgrades will ensure we continue to uphold strong data protection, complying with industry standards to safeguard information.

It will also lead to improved data accuracy and reporting capabilities.

Most importantly, it will enhance the overall experience we provide for our families and staff.

Transforming challenges

Our digital transformation project is a key part of our 2024-2026 strategic priorities.

As our major supporter, Lotterywest has enabled us to make this project happen.

We would like to thank Lotterywest for helping us to transform challenges into possibilities and better support communities all over WA.
