On Thursday 22nd February 2018, One Tree exhibited at the 2018 LGPro Annual Conference in Melbourne.
The event was attended by 700 Local Government professionals from across Victoria and featured speakers including Layne Beachley, the most successful female surfer in history and Rebecca Scott, CEO of STREAT, a Melbourne based social enterprise that works with marginalised young people aged 16-25 years to provide them with a healthy self, job and home.
Coral Callan (General Manager Children’s Services), Claire McManus (Regional Manager Victoria) and Mark Forrest (Executive Manager Business & Communications) talked to conference delegates about One Tree’s work with councils to support their local childcare services without the cost.
Rather than “plastic fantastic” branded pens and drink bottles, One Tree gave away native tree seedlings from Brite Plants, a local Victorian disability enterprise and they proved a big hit with the crowd.
