Apollo Bay Preschool to join One Tree in 2022

In early 2022, One Tree will be officially welcoming a new service to our growing kindergarten service portfolio. Situated on the bright and bustling shores of the Great Ocean Road, Apollo Bay Preschool will be the seventh Victorian kindergarten managed and operated by One Tree Community Services.

Helping Apollo Bay Preschool grow

A much-loved service, Apollo Bay Preschool has taught many generations of Apollo Bay children as a successful community-run preschool.

However, in 2022 the preschool will be named Apollo Bay Kindergarten and it will move into a new building with increased capacity. To ensure a smooth transition, the Apollo Bay Preschool Committee decided to appoint a not-for-profit service provider. We are thrilled that One Tree was the perfect match.

One Tree will provide transitional support for the kindergarten service in Term 4, 2021 and, in 2022, the service will transition entirely to One Tree. The new building is part of a 1.68-billion-dollar investment by the Victorian Government to build and expand kindergarten facilities across the state.

More kindergarten places in Apollo Bay

We’re very proud to be chosen as the service delivery partner and we’re looking forward to supporting more children to access kindergarten in their local community. After the move to the new building, the Apollo Bay Kindergarten will go from a 24-place service to a 66-place. That’s 42 additional places for three-and four-year-old kinder for local families, enabling the service to grow as the community does and promote universal access to kindergarten for children from three years.

Working with the community

We provide early years services across Australia and we’re specialists in remote and regional communities. We understand the need to work with communities and we’re looking forward to working closely with Apollo Bay families and community members. Establishing a Parent Advisory Group to provide ongoing input and involvement in the educational program and kindergarten service is just one way we will do this.

We can’t wait to open the doors to the new Apollo Bay Kindergarten.
